Not A Toy, But the Real Deal!

This is one of Veronica's originals.  Oh, I love it.

"Keep looking!"

Yep, sometimes, we must KEEP looking for that brighter side to things in this life, don't we? But, if we keep looking, eventually we will see!

I used to be very pessimistic and truly only saw "the glass as half empty".

Until...

Until, I began reading and allowing God's Word to have have it's transforming power in me.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. ~ Romans 12:2
The word "renewing" means renovation.  Renovation means the act of renewing and restoring.  God restores where He needs to and makes new where He needs to. Hallelujah!  In my case, He had much to make new!

And He sure did!  He renovated me from the inside out.

"Be transformed" - like a caterpillar to a butterfly transforms. That is what God has done in me. He didn't just fix me up; He made me into a brand new creature! And I will shout it from the rooftops: I AM A TRANSFORMER! HALLELUJAH!
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. ~ II Corth. 5:17
I am a TRUE Transformer - not a cartoon or a toy, but the living, breathing, real-deal!

I am so glad you all didn't know me back then. But, am blessed beyond measure that you know me now!

...sigh...I sure wish I had the artistic ability to depict it...

...Ver.on.i.ca...If any creative images come to mind...

Because of Him and Unto Him,

I think God pulled us across the river of transformation in the same boat Diane. I'm not saying I'm the greatest person now, God changing us is a lifetime deal, but compared to the way I was, I'm unrecognizable spiritually speaking.

You described our spirits perfectly, that's why no one knows our old selves.

Amen, Floyd! And it truly is a lifetime journey of becoming better human beings! I love The Word of God - truly. It's my most valued possession!

I once wrote a song called "Chrysalis" that had the same idea you just expressed. I am with you - so glad I have had the chance to be transformed. My mind really needed to be renewed to how God sees me, as well as how HE sees things. The key is as you wrote, "Keep looking". Too often people give up, often, just before their breakthrough!

BTW thanks for you heartfelt comments on my last post. Appreciate it greatly! So wish you were my neighbor - ;)

I can imagine how special that son is, Nancy. You have overcome so much. I truly am proud to know you - and your mom. Your blog piece left me very emotional today. What a post of being a victorious overcomer!

I may not be the kind of neighbor that can drop in to borrow and egg, but we sure can be friends. I am so blessed by my Circle of Sharing friends. And I'm glad you are a part of us now, too!

I am caught up in that same excitement as you when it comes to being new. Yesterday my husband said "you use to be....., but not anymore. There's no trace of that." Praise the Lord for His handiwork; it's ongoing daily! Only He can transform us like that!

Welcome back to "Tell Me a Story." I am so glad that God is able to transform us into something new, that never was before !!
I like what you said, "I am a TRUE Transformer - not a cartoon or a toy, but the living, breathing, real-deal!"

And didn't I tell you, D? I am submitting to God's housekeeping of my heart and soul.... so that the spirit will rise up for me to God's standard.

Thanks for this and for the gift of the artist's pen in Veronica.

Wahooo! Alleluia for the transformation. I was hoping for a musical impartation too. I think in time, Lolita, He is saying...... until everything else is imbued upon and into you.

I will wait, Lord, I will wait and be patient.

Oh, Amen, Mary! Praise God that your husband notices!!!! Hallelujah!

Amen, Joy! Isn't it amazing that He loved us even in our "untransformed" state. That just brings me to tears...He loved me when I was so unloveable!

Thank you, Hazel. Isn't He awesome?!

Oh, Lolita, I love that you call it "housecleaning".... i think my being was more like a hoarders nightmare....Layer upon layer upon layer had to be cleaned or trashed all together! But, thankfully, He is the greatest of house cleaners! The Greatest! Wahoo is right!

This song came to my heart as I read, actually have been humming it for a few days as I thought about the huge changes in our lifes since "transmation." Thanks to Calvary...Great post Diane.

Today, I went down to the place where I used to go
Today, I saw the same old crowd I knew before
And when they asked me what had happened, I tried to tell them,
Thanks to Calvary, I don't come here anymore.

Thanks to Calvary I am not the man (one) I used to be
Thanks to Calvary things are different than before.
And as the tears ran down my face I tried to tell them (him)(her),
Thanks to Calvary, I don't come (live) here anymore.
]
Then we went down to the house where we used to live,
My little boy (girl) ran behind the door, like so many times before;
And I said "Son (Honey) you don't need to be afraid, you've got a new Daddy now,

Thanks to Calvary I am not the man (dad) I used to be
Thanks to Calvary things are different than before.
And as the tears ran down my face I tried to tell them (him)(her),
Thanks to Calvary, I don't come (live) here anymore.

Thanks to Calvary, we don't live here anymore.

HALLELUJAH! Yes, Thanks to Calvary!

Thank you for taking the time to write the words out, Betty! I never heard that song before.

The old Diane doesn't live here anymore! Hallelujah!

I am one happy transformed and restored spiritual "winner"... because the Lord entered my life and rebuilt it. Nothing else would have kept me moving forward in life.

Yeah, Caryjo! I rejoice with you! Hallelujah!
