Circle in The Word

Every Thursday morning at 10:30 I teach from God's Word to a group of senior citizens. Most of which are in their 70's and 80's. For an hour and a half we delve into God's Treasure Chest.

This morning as I was up preparing, my thoughts kept creeping back to you, my Circle of Sharing. Today we're going to read Jesus' last days up through His Resurrection. As I was preparing, I kept picturing you all at our tables with us.

So...I think this is a God-thing:

Beginning next week, every Thursday morning I'll post

It will be our

You are invited to join in a short study of God's Word.

Every Thursday Morning.

You can all meet here. OK? Bring your coffee.

If you desire to set a time with each other, and you have IM or G-mail Chat or Tweet (or any others of that kind of thing), you can chat with each other about the teaching.

Or

Just comment to each other.

Let The Word spark conversation.
Let The Word join hearts.
Let The Word cause a Circle of Sharing.

OK...now I'm feeling this is a crazy idea and no one will actually do it...

And...now I'm scared, as I don't really write anything out for Bible Study, just a few brief notes. So, it will be very challenging for me to write out a teaching.

Oh, man...

...But,

FEAR get behind me! I will give it my all.

The rest is up to The Holy Spirit...
and you. May you look forward to meeting each other in The Circle.

Have a wonderfully, reflective Holy Thursday!

Because of Him and Unto Him,

Hi Diane
Thank you for visiting my blog again, and for extending the hand of friendship to me. I really appreciate it.

I have been reading some of your previous posts, and am really interested in your personal health miracle. WHere can I read that story?

Looking forward to knowing you more!

Blessings

Thank you for your sweet comments on my recent post New Career at age 60. God's Word is always food for the hungry and gives strength to the weak. May your studies be blessed.

After about a month the lady fb was shut down...wierd...so she went to another fomat but it was one that from over seas our service was not fast enough...

Ok I got a pencil and paper ready...a sticky note on the wall...

Good Morning, Lidia! I'm excited to get to know you as well. Another Filipino sister. Have you met Lolita?

You can find my story under the page at the top of the blog entitled My Personal Health Story. I have the full story in a brochure. The testimony has been floating around for 30 years.

Several years ago, a friend introduced me to her friend. We were sitting and having a cup of coffee. Somehow the conversation came around to my story. I shared it. With tears in her eyes, she started jumping up and down. She had read "Diane's Story" (as it was entitied) many years ago and had prayed to meet me. Now isn't that something? She prayed to meet ME! Wow...I was blown away. She even went into her bedroom and came out several minutes later and showed us the copy of Diane's Story. She had even saved it. Wow...It is amazing what God does with our testimonies and the lives He touches because we will declare His goodness.

Your testimony of your husband's death will touch many, Lidia. Keep writing.

Veronica, I don't know if it's inpsiring or stupidity! LOL, but thank you for the encouraging words!

P. S. Veronica. THANK YOU for calling me friend!

Thank you, Hazel.

Now YOU are in inspiration!

Betty, you make me laugh. I use sticky notes all the time and I'm not in transition or have just moved into a new home. The sticky note creator must have been a woman!

If you have any suggestions for me putting the Bible study into words, I'd love to hear them. What works or doesn't...just email me.

Yeah, Saleslady and Mel!

As far as time? I won't be online, as I will be with the "Biddies" as I affectionately call the Seniors. So, it will be up to you ladies to come up with a time that will work. I know our Filipino friends are way ahead of us time wise, so I don't know how this will work except for commenting back and forth as you reflect on The Word. That way you can read it anytime on Thursday.

I'll try to get them posted by Wed. night, so our Lolita and Lidia can see in their time zone on Thursday mornings.

I don't know...if this is not a good idea and should be scrapped, just tell me. No offense will be taken.

Diane/The Circle-
well a little bit of help is needed here as I don't have a clue in my sleepless brain about how much of a time difference there is between overseas and here in the U.S.

So please anybody thats willing to help me=just let me know so I can work my time in (its not like my calendar is loaded) but its working around the lovely Morning PAIN that gets me out of bed and takes a couple of hours each day to get my body feeling like I can now cope with Pain for the rest of the day.

But i am interested in this-and would love to meet more of you that might find their way toward the Circle!!

Blessings, Martha

Diane,

I am late again as it goes. I have grabbed a pre-paid broadband yesterday because the Philippines has a long holidays over Maunday Thursday until the 9th.... so I would be updated with your posts and the others.

I am all for the BS Thursdays. It is ok if I will just have to read the post and comments, then post my own reply to the study at hand, and over the comments posted.

Sounds good.... I need it too.

Sounds like a great idea, Diane! Not sure how I will keep up, especially when I start working. I'm having a hard time keeping up with all the blogs to read and comment, but I know this will be a real blessing to all who read it and share on it! God bless all your writing!

Martha, the Philippines are twelve hours ahead of us, so when it's morning here, it's nighttime there.

Please don't worry about a meeting time. I think it will work best for you guys to come at your leisure and just post comments back and forth to discuss it all if you desire. No pressure, no one should feel they have to comment.

If you want to ask questions, fine. If not, fine. OK?

Lolita, I think that is so special of you to have gotten a pre-paid broadband so you can stay connected with us. Wow...I'm really blown away by that! You are such an intregal part of our Circle. Truly. All of our lives have been enriched because of your heart and words.

God bless you!
