Oh, If We Dare to Believe...

Intercession
is the gateway to Heaven
where the impossible and miraculous
become as natural as breath.

He's reminding me to trust in Him, to let go of the things I can't control, and believe that He'll take care of it. All day long, He's been trying to get my attention that way. I've finally decided it's easier to let out a big sigh and hand it over to Him, than to keep driving myself crazy about something no amount of worry is going to change anyway.

Thanks for this great reminder, Diane! I hope you're having a wonderful evening!

It can be so hard, this walk of faith, can't it. My problem is leaving it in His Hand once I do give it over. I guess I'm an Indian-giver. Do you have that saying in Michigan? Us New Yorkers do.

Have a peace-filled evening, Chrissy. I'll be praying for you.

I had an experience so life changing way back, some 2 decades ago. I lost my job after my husband lost his. It was so scary and I was battling. It kept me on my knees and some power intercession at church. One night, I was reading about Job and how he had suffered despite being blameless. I told myself, I have not suffered that much as Job did and I am not spotless. Then I suddenly pictured myself carrying the cross.... it brought me to the realisation that Jesus did all that for me and He was asking me to loosen and unburden the weight upon Him. That very moment I asked forgiveness for trying to outdo what He did for me, feeling so helpless and hopeless, and loosing sight of His promises.

Yes Diane, being a work-a-holic and a superwoman, I tend to look for solutions to no avail. We could find it only down there on bended knees.

Oh, Lolita, how Jesus met your need...how special that moment was for you! A life-long lesson. Thank you so much for sharing with us. I am blessed.

You, with bended knees and a pure heart, see God.

He reminds me that no matter how long the intercession takes... He is moving in ways we don't know, using our prayers mightily... especially when we lift others before him.

Lolita, I love how God showed you that insight about not carrying the cross!

Diane-
I have a dear friend whose husband suffers horrible Chronic Pain and we have become "prayer partners" for each other. When he is at the lowest spot, I will encourage him to "give the Pain to the Lord" and only by the grace of our Lord, it seems to help him!! There have been some times where serious prayers were needed for both of us and we now call them our "GOD MOMENTS" and we keep learning "its okay, Dare to Believe in HIM" and its been an amazing blessing for both of us. Prayers-where would we be without them?

This is going to be that kinda year for us, God's children... supernatural answered prayers & miracles~ Hallelujah

Because we have humbled ourselves in prayer (intercession) ~ our Heavenly Father has heard our (His children) cries and is healing our Land, thank you Jesus!!!

Yes, Pam...no matter how long. Someday, I'll tell you about my Easter intercession. It's a long story, but a vital part of our testimony!

Amen, Martha! Where would we be?! I can't imagine a life without communicating with God!

That's awesome about you and your friend. You are blessed to have such interceding friends!

Your post left me wanting to get back to believing without questions...just believing. I am going to dare to believe this week more then I ever have for i have more then I ever had to believe Him for...He has to work somethings out for us if He wants us to move...leaving my son in His very capable hands..yesI am daring to believe again...that feels wonderful to even admit i have unbelief....yes it's my unbelief that stop the flow between my Savior and myself...Thanks Diane for the reminder.
